Employee Spotlight: Lou Ann’s 34-Year Journey of Commitment

At Entira Family Clinics, we believe the best care comes from people who genuinely care – and few embody that more than Lou Ann, our dedicated Care Coordinator at the Highland clinic. Lou Ann has been with Entira for an inspiring 34 years, starting in 1991 as a Certified Medical Assistant. Her story is one of passion, purpose, and a deep sense of belonging.

A Heart for Helping

From her first day, Lou Ann felt at home helping both patients and providers. Over time, that passion evolved into something even more impactful when she stepped into her current role as a Care Coordinator.

“What I love most about my role is working closely with patients between visits—helping them understand their treatment plans, medications, and the ‘why’ behind it all.”

Lou Ann’s focus is not just on treatment but on education and empowerment. Whether she’s guiding patients toward healthier lifestyles or helping clinic staff understand procedures more deeply, her mission remains the same: to make healthcare meaningful and personal.

The Entira Difference: Chronic Care Management Model

One of the ways Lou Ann supports her patients is through Entira’s Chronic Care Management approach, which goes far beyond traditional care.

“Follow-up is completely different now. It’s not just prescribe and move on—we close the loop. We check in. Patients can trust that we’re circling back, that we’re their partners in care.”

This model fosters strong relationships and trust, with a commitment to see patients not just through one appointment, but through the seasons of their lives.

A Culture That Feels Like Family

Ask Lou Ann what sets Entira apart, and her answer is simple: nobody gets lost here.

“Patients have contact with so many caring people—front desk, lab, providers. And many of us have been here a long time, so you form lasting bonds. Patients often say, ‘Oh good, Lou Ann is still here!’ That familiarity builds trust.”

At Entira, longevity isn’t rare—it’s a reflection of the deep connections and supportive culture that define our clinics.

Why She’s Stayed for 34 Years

Lou Ann didn’t just stay at Entira—she’s thrived. When asked what has kept her here for over three decades, her answer came down to three powerful reasons:

  1. Belonging
“I feel like I’m a part of the thread that holds our work together. There’s a sense of ownership in what we do.”
  2. Feeling Valued
“People come to me for advice or to train new staff. I feel appreciated—by leadership, physicians, and my team.”
  3. Making a Difference
“I’m not just clocking in and out. I know I’m part of something bigger—helping people live healthier lives.”

At Entira, we are proud to have compassionate professionals like Lou Ann leading the way in patient-centered care. Her journey reminds us that when people feel valued, connected, and purposeful, the impact can last a lifetime—for patients, for teams, and for entire communities.

Thank you, Lou Ann, for 34 incredible years of care. Here’s to many more!
