Rooted In Community

Why Entira Just Felt Like Home

Medical Office Coordinator Stacy, Entira Family Clinics – Como

After more than two decades in the Como area, I’ve come to know and love this neighborhood deeply. My journey to Entira wasn’t just about finding a new job—it was about finding a place that fit my values, my lifestyle, and my love for community.

I’ve worn a few hats over the years—starting in healthcare at HealthEast, working as a Physical Therapist Assistant, and even running my own business. But when it came time to take the next step, Entira stood out. It wasn’t just the job; it was the mission. As someone who believes in supporting small businesses, I appreciated that Entira is physician-owned. That kind of local ownership matters—it means decisions are made with people, not profits, in mind.

I’ve heard about Entira for years – my aunt and uncle are longtime patients, and I’ve supported them throughout their care. So when the opportunity came to join the team at the Como Clinic, it truly felt like a full-circle moment.

What struck me right away was the longevity of the staff and the loyalty of the patients. People stay here. That says a lot. I met a manager who was direct and supportive, and care providers who go the extra mile for their patients—not because they’re told to, but because it’s just who they are. You can be a cog in the wheel at a big system, but here, everyone’s role matters. You feel that every day.

I’m especially passionate about rebuilding community—something I think we’ve all craved more of since COVID. We lost so many touchpoints. That’s why I’m drawn to Entira’s collaborative spirit. Whether it’s Care Coordinators, front desk staff, or physicians, the team genuinely works together. It shifts how you see healthcare. It becomes personal.

And it’s not just inside the clinic. I see the ripple effect out in the neighborhood—whether it’s families connecting at ECFE groups, moms building support systems, or people chatting at the local hardware store. I love running into familiar faces at La Tapatia, hiking Reservoir Woods with my dogs, or seeing the way Troy’s Automotive supports local schools and even gives away pumpkins in the fall. That’s what community looks like—and that’s what I feel at Entira.

Outside of work, I keep busy with house projects, yardwork, and coaching my daughter’s team (thankfully, Entira’s schedule makes that possible!). And when I’m not there, you’ll probably find me at the Y—it’s basically my second home.

For me, Entira isn’t just where I work. It’s where I’m rooted.
