I am fortunate to have the opportunity to care for patients as a family medicine physician; one of the significant choices I have never looked back on or second thought. For one, I value the chance to get to know my patients not just as data in an electronic medical record, but as a person. Also, I was and still am drawn to the team based and patient centered approach we take as family doctors. You, as the patient, aren’t limited to just choosing your doctor—you are helping choose what direction your healthcare takes. I view my job as a family doctor is to provide my patients with all the information, advice and insight necessary so that we can make choices together. I look forward to “teaming up” with my patients so that we can come to the most suitable healthcare choice for them, and so that I can best serve all of their healthcare needs.
